Help us welcome approximately 35 adult self-advocates from the Knox County and Coshocton County Boards of Developmental Disabilities for a multi-day Self-Advocate Leadership Retreat focused on building resiliency skills.

Volunteers will work behind the scenes to help our team set up and run the retreat, support participants during activities, and keep the program moving smoothly. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to an inclusive leadership experience for adults with disabilities.

Choose Your Volunteer Shifts

The available times are listed in the individual shift tickets below. You may register for one shift, multiple shifts on the same day, or shifts across both days. Select one registration for each shift you plan to attend. Each shift is limited to 10 volunteers.

Please arrive 15 minutes before each selected shift for a volunteer briefing.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Help set up spaces, supplies, activities, and program materials.
• Greet guests, assist with parking flow, and direct participants to registration.
• Support games, outdoor recreation stations, and other retreat programming.
• Help serve food and refreshments and keep service areas clean and stocked.
• Assist with light cleanup and indoor or outdoor support projects as needed.

Who Can Volunteer

All volunteers must be 18 years old or older for this event.

What to Wear

Dress “camp casual” in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Comfortable, clean, closed-toe shoes are required. If you have a Camp T-shirt, you are welcome to wear it.
