Camp Because I Said I Would spreads across 92 acres in the heart of farm country just 45 miles outside of Columbus, Ohio. With rolling hills and valleys, we are located in the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau that was carved out by ice thousands of years ago and is currently Ohio Amish Country. Disconnect from the stress of everyday life surrounded by a level of peace and quiet that can be hard to find in modern society.

The Escape Room at Camp!
Embark on a thrilling adventure with our 60-minute Lost Treasure escape room, where puzzles and mysteries abound at every turn. Designed to challenge and delight, this immersive experience is the perfect opportunity for teams and families to strengthen bonds and work together towards a common goal. Our escape room is not open to the public. It is only available to our program attendees, Manor Lodge guests (with additional fee) and corporate retreats.

Wine Trail
We are located along the Three Rivers Wine Trail. In fact, our property used to be a winery itself and still maintains a 2-acre vineyard with three varieties of grapes. A shuttle service can be arranged to take you and your guests to any or all of the following wineries in the area.View Wineries
River Adventure
The Kokosing and Mohican Rivers offer a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. Canoeing, kayaking and tubing are popular options for those looking to explore the river. For those who prefer a more adventurous experience, there are many opportunities for rock climbing and rappelling on the cliffs along the river. Additionally, there are many hiking and biking trails that follow the river. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day on the water or an action-packed adventure, the Kokosing and Mohican Rivers have something for everyone.River Trips
Golf
If you're looking to hit the links during your stay at camp, there are plenty of options nearby. Just a short drive away, you'll find three excellent golf courses to choose from. Apple Valley Golf Course is the closest at just 11 miles away, while Black Diamond Golf Course and Fire Ridge Golf Course are both less than 20 miles away. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual golfer, these courses offer a great opportunity to enjoy the game in a beautiful natural setting. Amish Country
The rolling hills and picturesque farmland of Ohio's Amish Country are home to one of the largest Amish communities in the United States. Explore the charming towns and villages that dot the landscape and gain an understanding of the traditional way of life that is still practiced by the Amish people. From horse-drawn buggies to one-room schoolhouses, the sights and sounds are a step back in time. Visitors can also experience the local culture by sampling delicious homemade food and crafts, such as quilts and furniture made by hand. Historic Canal Town
Have you ever been on a horse-drawn canal boat ride? Live out our history and immerse yourself in Ohio's rich heritage. Roscoe Village sets the scene as the restored 1830s port town reveals a glimpse into what it would be like to live a day in the life. Complete with full costume interpreters, a practicing blacksmith, and even an activity center to try your hand at the many unique crafts of the time, our Living History Tours will whisk you away to yesteryear. Discover an array of local artisans and boutiques as you stroll down the brick-paved sidewalks and enjoy decadent eats and treats throughout the village restaurant and pubs.
