Friday, August 14th (Retreat Kickoff & Welcome)

Shift A (Afternoon Welcome): 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Shift B (Dinner & Evening Support): 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, August 15th (Healing & Activity Sessions)

Shift C (Morning/Lunch Support): 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Sunday, August 16th (Closing & Departure)

Volunteer Requirements & Attire
- Age: All volunteers must be 18 years old or older for this event.
- Attire: “Camp Casual.” Please dress comfortably, respectfully, and appropriately for the weather. If you have a Camp t-shirt, you are highly encouraged to wear it!
- Footwear: Comfortable, clean, closed-toe shoes are required for safety across the camp terrain.
- Background Check: All volunteers working directly with our bereavement retreat guests will be required to have a completed background check
A Note on Tone: While we always value high energy, this specific retreat requires a gentle, grounded, and empathetic presence. Our goal is to provide a peaceful, stress-free space for our guests.
Volunteer Responsibilities
As part of the Bereavement Retreat Support Team, your behind-the-scenes tasks will include:

Warm Welcomes: Greeting arriving families, assisting with parking flow, and directing guests to registration with a warm, welcoming presence.

Hospitality & Meals: Helping serve nourishing meals/refreshments, keeping dining areas clean, and maintaining a welcoming refreshment station throughout the day.

Activity Support: Assisting staff with the setup and coordination of healing activities, reflection spaces, and craft workshops.

Camp Comforts: Maintaining the peaceful atmosphere of the camp grounds, keeping common areas tidy, and tending the evening remembrance bonfire for the guests.
