Join our volunteer crew at Camp because I said I would on Thursday, October 29, 2026, for our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser! Help us bring our community together for an evening of delicious food, fellowship, and giving back. Volunteers are needed to assist with event setup, food preparation, dinner service, guest greeting, and cleanup.

What to Expect

Volunteering at Camp isn’t just about preparing meals or setting tables. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming environment where grieving families, supporters, and community members can come together, connect, and make meaningful memories.

Whether you’re helping prepare spaghetti dinners, welcoming guests, serving meals, keeping the dining area running smoothly, or assisting with cleanup, your time and dedication help make this special evening possible!

Arrival Information

  • Dinner Event Hours: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Volunteer Shift Hours:  5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Volunteer Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your assigned shift.
  • Location: Camp because I said I would

  • What to Wear: Comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate attire. Volunteers assisting with food preparation and service should be prepared to follow food safety guidelines.

How You Can Help

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the evening, including:

• Event Setup: Help prepare tables, chairs, decorations, and dining areas before guests arrive.
• Food Preparation: Assist our kitchen team with preparing spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic toast, and desserts.
• Dinner Service: Help serve meals, replenish food stations, and ensure guests have a wonderful dining experience.
• Guest Greeting & Registration: Welcome attendees, provide directions, and assist with dinner check-in and door prize registration.
• Dining Area Support: Help keep tables clean, assist guests, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Cleanup: Help restore the kitchen, dining areas, and event spaces after dinner.

Our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser is about more than sharing a meal. It’s about bringing people together to support families navigating grief and loss.

All proceeds from the dinner benefit Camp because I said I would and our mission to help bereaved families move forward.

Registration helps our team coordinate volunteer assignments, prepare for the event, and ensure we have the support needed for a successful evening. The registration process also includes the required volunteer waiver.

Please register in advance so we can plan accordingly.
