Volunteer Day – January 21st, 2027
Help prepare Camp because I said I would to serve grieving families, community groups, and other guests.
On Thursday, January 21, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., volunteers will work together on practical projects that keep Camp safe, welcoming, and ready for the people who rely on it.
What to Expect
We will help get the property ready for our adult bereavement retreat, creating a welcoming space for adults navigating grief. The day will also include regular volunteer projects based on Camp’s needs at the time. Tasks may include preparing spaces, organizing supplies, cleaning, and seasonal maintenance. Specific projects will depend on current priorities and weather conditions.
Flexible Hours and Lunch
Lunch is provided. You do not have to volunteer the entire day; come for the time you can give. Please contact Steve with your planned arrival and departure times if joining for part of the day, and let him know about any dietary needs.
Arrival Information
- Check-in: Parking Lot #1 at the Grand Hall
- Arrival window: If starting with the group, arrive between 9:45 and 10:00 a.m. If arriving later, coordinate check-in with Steve.
- What to wear: Protective footwear, preferably winter boots if conditions call for them, and weather-appropriate clothing
Who Should Come?
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Come on your own, bring adult friends or family, or organize a group. We have tasks for people with different physical abilities and limitations. Let Steve know what you are comfortable doing so we can match you with a suitable task.
Why It Matters
Camp is a place where grieving families can reconnect, helpers can recharge, and people can build resilience. Every task you complete helps make that experience possible.
How to Register
Use the free registration form below so the Camp team can plan projects and supplies. Each volunteer must review and agree to the volunteer waiver during registration. Reserving a ticket alone does not complete someone else’s waiver. Contact Steve to coordinate individual waiver completion for a group.
