Volunteer Event Crew: Camp Wedding (Oct 23–24)
Help Us Create a Memorable Wedding Day
We’re excited to welcome a couple to Camp because I said I would as they make one of life’s biggest promises: their wedding vows.
Creating a special wedding experience takes a great team—and a lot happens before the first guest ever arrives! This is a two-day volunteer opportunity, with volunteers helping prepare the Camp for the wedding the day before and helping bring the celebration to life on the wedding day.
When you register, you’ll be able to choose from the available volunteer shifts based on your schedule and how you’d like to help.
Day 1 (Friday, Oct 23): Wedding Setup & Preparation
The day before the wedding is all about getting the Camp ready for the celebration.
Volunteers will work alongside our team to prepare the ceremony and reception spaces so everything is ready when the couple and their guests arrive the following day.
Responsibilities may include:
- Setting up ceremony chairs and reception areas
- Arranging tables, decorations, and other wedding items
- Preparing guest areas and gathering spaces
- Organizing supplies and materials
- Helping with general event setup and preparation
- Assisting with other tasks needed to get the Camp wedding-ready
Day 2 (Saturday Oct 24): Wedding Day
Wedding day is all about creating a welcoming, organized, and memorable experience for the couple and their guests.
Volunteers will help our team execute the event, assist guests, keep things running smoothly, and help with cleanup as the celebration progresses.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting guests and helping them find their way
- Assisting with parking and guest arrival
- Helping serve food and refreshments
- Keeping food and beverage areas clean and stocked
- Assisting with light cleanup throughout the event
- Helping with end-of-event cleanup
- Assisting with the evening bonfire or other reception activities
Don’t worry if you haven’t volunteered at a wedding before. Our team will provide instructions and assignments when you arrive.
Choose the Volunteer Shift That Works for You
You do not need to determine your exact schedule from this description. When you register, you’ll be able to select from the available volunteer ticket options for the setup day, wedding day, or both.
Each ticket option will provide the specific day and shift time so you can choose what works best for your schedule.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your selected shift for check-in, a brief orientation, and your assignment.
What to Wear
Please dress in smart camp casual attire. We want our volunteer crew to look polished for the wedding while still being comfortable enough to work.
Please wear:
- Black, khaki, or neutral-colored pants or chinos — no rips or tears
- Long skirts or maxi skirts in black, khaki, or another neutral color — comfortable and appropriate for moving around during the event
- Solid black or white polo, blouse, button-down, or simple shirt
- Clean, comfortable closed-toe shoes — volunteers may be standing, walking, and working for extended periods
- Camp because I said I would volunteer shirt, if you have one
Please choose clothing that is comfortable for an active volunteer shift while still looking neat and appropriate for a wedding.
Before You Arrive
After registering, you’ll receive confirmation of your selected shift along with additional event details.
Please come ready to be on your feet, work as part of a team, and lend a hand wherever you’re needed.
Thank you for helping us create an unforgettable wedding experience for the couple and their guests!
