Individual Camp Volunteer
Role Overview
As an Individual Volunteer at Camp because I said I would, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of meaningful projects that help create an impactful and memorable experience for our guests, including grieving families. We’ll work with you to match tasks to your skills, interests, and comfort level — you won’t be expected to do everything listed. Whether you’re working solo or as part of a team, your time and talents directly support our mission and help keep camp running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Possible volunteer projects and tasks include:

Painting cabins, fences, or decks

Weeding, trimming, and general landscaping

Building benches or other small structures
-
Clearing sticks and debris from forest trails
-
Writing encouraging letters to families in bereavement
-
Writing thank-you letters to donors
-
Counting Promise Cards
-
Assembling newly ordered equipment or supplies
-
Organizing and counting inventory
-
Light cleaning or deep cleaning projects
-
Data entry and administrative support
-
Other camp needs as they arise
Qualifications

Willingness to help wherever needed

Ability to work independently or with others

Positive attitude and enthusiasm for our mission

Comfort with both indoor and/or outdoor tasks (based on preference)
