Event Description:
Celebrate Halloween in a fun, family-friendly way surrounded by the beauty of nature! Trick or Treat on the Trails is a non-scary, outdoor candy walk through our lighted forest paths, filled with cheerful costumes, themed stations, and a festive atmosphere. Every stop includes smiles, treats, and photo moments — no frights here! With sunset around 5:50 PM and full darkness close to 6:15 PM, our timing ensures the experience is both magical and safe. In case of rain, activities move inside our Grand Hall with trick-or-treat tables, crafts, and games.
Who Should Attend?
- Families with children of all ages from Coshocton, Knox, Licking, and Holmes counties
- Grandparents, guardians, and caregivers seeking a joyful Halloween alternative
- Donors, nonprofit partners, and community supporters interested in touring the camp
- Anyone who loves candy, costumes, and safe, outdoor fall fun
What to bring or wear:

Optional: We would love to see your costumes! Dress up for Boocause I said I would in your Non-Scary customs. Example: Your favorite Super Hero, Disney or Cartoon Character
RSVP & Time Slots:
This event is free, but RSVP is required. Attendance is limited to 75 total guests, distributed across the following 20-minute slots (approx. 12–13 people per group):
- 4:30 – 4:50 PM
- 4:50 – 5:10 PM
- 5:10 – 5:30 PM
- 5:30 – 5:50 PM
- 5:50 – 6:10 PM
- 6:10 – 6:30 PM
Please arrive during your selected time window. Final trail entry is at 6:10 PM.

Event Features:
- Themed trick-or-treat stations on a lighted forest trail
- Costumes encouraged for kids and adults
- No scary elements — just fun, safe Halloween excitement
- Light refreshments at the welcome tent
Indoor & Outdoor Activities (4:30 – 6:30 PM):
Inside the Grand Hall:
- Indoor trick-or-treat tables with candy and toys
- Halloween crafts and themed games
On the Lawn & Waterfront:
- Lawn games like cornhole and ring toss
- Campfires by the water with marshmallow roasting
- Catch-and-release fishing with gear available
Parking & Facilities:
Free parking on-site with staff direction. Accessible restrooms available in the main lodge and Grand Hall.
