Camp Housekeeping & Operations Associate

Location: In-Person at Camp
Salary: $16.00/hour
Travel Requirements: Minimal; local errands using a camp vehicle as needed
Work Hours: Part Time — Non-Exempt (Hourly) 8–30 hours per week, averaging approximately 15 hours. Schedule varies with guest turnover and events. Includes some weekends and evenings.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and mission-aligned individual to join our team as a Camp Housekeeping & Operations Associate. This position is heavily focused on cleaning and housekeeping (approximately 70%), but also includes operational tasks that support the overall guest experience and day-to-day camp functioning.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and reset cabins, lodges, bathrooms, and indoor/outdoor common areas using detailed checklists and cleaning protocols
  • Support linen laundering and restocking of towels, sheets, and toiletries
  • Perform event setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, and other equipment
  • Fulfill merchandise and supply orders by packing and counting T-shirts, wristbands, books, and promotional items
  • Run local errands using a camp vehicle (no personal vehicle required)
  • Help with light landscaping tasks such as sweeping porches, picking up branches, and weeding
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report restocking needs to camp leadership
  • Communicate clearly and follow repeatable systems and procedures to ensure consistent service
  • Collaborate with other team members, especially during “turnover” days when guests depart and new ones arrive
  • Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Housekeeping Lead

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or facility support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following structured procedures
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, climb stairs, and perform hands-on tasks indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Available to work variable hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Comfortable using checklists and work logs to ensure consistent performance
