Help create a restorative retreat experience for nonprofit professionals who support children in foster care. Their work can be emotionally demanding, and this retreat gives staff members dedicated time to strengthen resiliency skills, build healthy mental health habits, and reconnect with the purpose that sustains their service.

Volunteers make that experience possible. By handling event logistics, hospitality, recreation support, refreshments, and behind-the-scenes projects, you will help participants step away from day-to-day demands and focus fully on the retreat. We are looking for energetic, reliable volunteers who care about service, community, and creating a welcoming environment.

Shift Details & Logistics

• Dates: Thursday, August 27th & Friday, August 28th, 2026
• General Hours: Shifts range between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a quick briefing.

• Shift A: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Shift B: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Shift C: 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Shift D: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM (Full Shift)

Friday, August 28th

• Shift A: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Shift B: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Shift C: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (Full Shift)

Attire

• Camp Casual: This is an adult staff retreat, and we want our crew to stay cool and comfortable. Volunteers will assist retreat guests during programming, and additional project support will also be needed.
• Footwear: Comfortable, clean, closed-toe shoes
• If you have a Camp t-shirt, you are welcome to wear it!

Volunteer Age & Responsibilities

All volunteers must be 18 years old or older for this event.

As part of the retreat crew, your tasks will include:

• Greeting guests, managing parking flow, and directing people to registration.
• Assisting with the setup and management of games and outdoor recreation stations.
• Helping serve food and refreshments and keeping the buffet area clean and stocked.
• Assisting with light cleanup during and after the reception.
• Completing indoor or outdoor volunteer projects while guests are in programming.
